If we still lived in Chicago and didn’t move permanently to our wee cottage in Michigan, I’d copy this home and build it for our second home. Just charming enough and rustic enough to put you at peace. The window treatment is exceptional!
This is thing is nothing but a photo shoot shack. Look closely at the details you can see in the pictures.
It might make some feel good and pioneer, but it isn’t even a very good coop.
This thing has gotten a lot of press though.
Love to see pics of your owner built shack D Whit….cant we just celebrate people enjoying what they do and craft? If they built it and are happy isn’t that awesome….if you look closely at the detail you can see companionship, passion, care for the environment better than a plumb wall any day 馃檪
OHMYSTARS. I can’t even begin to explain how this house makes me feel. THIS is fantasy. This is the stuff of dreams. There’s a level of artistry here that sets this house apart from all the other tiny houses. Okay, so there aren’t any fancy “space saving” ideas but that “wall” of mismatched windows? That upside down bed that serves as a canopy? WUT?
If like to see how much water is laying on the floor after a hard WV winter. Either through condensation or through leakage from rain/ snowmelt. I hope they invested in caulk. #wvnativefor37years
